2024-25 NFL Season Outlook

Bryant

The NFL season starts tonight in Kansas City when the Ravens take on the Chiefs. I thought this would be a good time to predict the NFL season, and that means records, awards, and playoffs.

AFC South:

  1. Texans: 13-4

  2. Colts: 9-8

  3. Jaguars: 9-8

  4. Titans: 9-8

The AFC South is still a very lackluster division but they seem to be turning the tide with C.J. Stroud, last year's Offensive Rookie Of The Year. The Texans are poised to go on a deep run this year with Stroud and the weapons they have put around him.

AFC West:

  1. Chiefs: 12-5

  2. Chargers: 9-8

  3. Raiders: 7-10

  4. Broncos: 5-12

The Chiefs win the division again, to no one's surprise. Jim Harbaugh makes the Chargers slightly better and the Broncos and Raiders have another mediocre season.

AFC North:

  1. Ravens: 12-5

  2. Bengals: 10-7

  3. Browns: 10-7

  4. Steelers: 9-8

AFC North continues to be the best division in the NFL, with every team having a winning record with the Ravens being on top.

AFC East:

  1. Dolphins: 11-6

  2. Bills: 10-7

  3. Jets: 9-8

  4. Patriots: 3-14

Miami finally wins a division crown and Aaron Rodgers misses the playoff in what could be his final year.

NFC East:

  1. Cowboys: 12-5

  2. Eagles: 10-7

  3. Giants: 8-9

  4. Commanders: 7-10

This division will be very close until Dallas pulls away at the end and we get our first repeat NFC East Champion in years.

NFC West:

  1. 49ers: 12-5

  2. Rams: 10-7

  3. Seahawks: 7-10

  4. Cardinals: 6-11

The 49ers are at the top of the division again after securing Brandon Aiyuk and Trent Williams. The Rams make the playoffs for the second straight year.

NFC North:

  1. Lions: 11-6

  2. Packers: 10-7

  3. Bears: 9-8

  4. Vikings: 7-10

Detroit takes the NFC North, despite pushes from Green Bay and Chicago. Vikings are mediocre but they have a lot to look forward to next year.

NFC South:

  1. Falcons: 10-7

  2. Buccaneers: 8-9

  3. Saints: 6-11

  4. Panthers: 5-12

This is the worst division in the NFL. All teams are pretty mediocre but I like the Falcons the most out of them all.

PLAYOFFS:

Wildcard Round:

#5 Cincinnati Bengals beat #4 Miami Dolphins

#3 Baltimore Ravens beat #6 Buffalo Bills

#2 Kansas City Chiefs beat #7 Cleveland Browns

#4 Atlanta Falcons beat #5 Philadelphia Eagles

#3 Detroit Lions beat #6 Los Angeles Rams

#7 Green Bay Packers beat #2 Dallas Cowboys

The NFC North and AFC North show that they are the cream of the crop, with two advancing into the second weekend. The Cowboys disappoint against the Packers, and the Eagles are shocked by the Falcons, shutting out the NFC East.

Divisional Round:

#2 Kansas City Chiefs beat #3 Baltimore Ravens

#1 Houston Texans beat #5 Cincinnati Bengals

#1 San Francisco 49ers beat #7 Green Bay Packers

#3 Detroit Lions beat #4 Atlanta Falcons

The Chiefs end the Ravens' season once again, setting up a match-up between Stroud and Mahomes. The 49ers beat the Packers (again) while the Lions make the conference championship game once again.

Conference Championship Weekend:

#2 Kansas City Chiefs beat #1 Houston Texans

#3 Detroit Lions beat #1 San Francisco 49ers

Stroud and Mahomes duel out in an instant classic but Mahomes is too much as the Chiefs make their third Super Bowl. The Lions get their revenge on the 49ers after the devastating loss last year.

Super Bowl:

#2 Kansas City Chiefs beat #3 Detroit Lions

This is a perfect setup for a Super Bowl. The dynastic Chiefs versus the lovable Lions. Everyone would be rooting for the Lions to finally knock off Kansas City. Mahomes etches himself closer to Brady as he wins his fourth Super Bowl and becomes the first team in the Super Bowl era to three-peat.

Awards:

MVP: C.J Stroud, Houston Texans

COY: Demeco Ryans, Houston Texans

CPOY: Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets

OPOY: CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

DPOY: T.J. Watt, Pittsburgh Steelers

OROY: Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals

DROY: Dallas Turner, Minnesota Vikings

I'm all in on the Texans, as I have them having the best record in the NFL, while also having the MVP and Coach of the Year. Aaron Rodgers will be the CPOY after his Achilles tear four minutes into his season. CeeDee Lamb wins OPOY as he leads the Cowboys to the NFC East crown. T.J. Watt gets his second DPOY. Marvin Harrison Jr. has one of the best rookie wide receiver seasons for a rookie and Dallas Turner wins DPOY in a draft that was more offensive-minded.
