Anthony Davis Has a Case for Best Player in the World

Anthony Davis has now been the best player for the Lakers in two straight series, and the Lakers are in the Western Conference Finals. After all the disrespect that was thrown at Davis's name, he is shutting up the doubters and is showing that he's a force to be reckoned with.

Anthony Davis is a defensive beast and he has shown that against Memphis and Golden State. He has 39 total blocks, which is 14 more than the next closest player, and you can couple that with 17 steals, which is good enough for 4th in these playoffs. He's so far ahead defensively than anyone else in my opinion. It is absolutely asinine that he didn't get any awards or accolades for this season.

Davis is great defensively, and we all know that, but we haven't even got into his offensive prowess. How many guys in the NBA can drop 30 points and 20 rebounds in a game while also anchoring a defense? Only 2 guys come to mind for me, which would be Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Those two are MVP winners, while Davis gets constantly disrespected when it comes to these awards, and now Davis is making them pay.

Anthony Davis has a chance to shut up everyone that's been talking ever since the Lakers' 2020 championship win. And the only way to do that is by leading the Lakers to their 18th championship while getting his 2nd ring.
