Crazy Until It Isn’t’s Super Bowl Prediction

Overall Regular Season Prediction: 173-99

Overall Playoff Prediction: 7-5

The biggest game of the year is finally here and we get two familiar faces and a rematch of Super Bowl 55. The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers have been playoff-caliber all year. This is setting up to be a great Super Bowl, even though no one wanted this matchup. I believe it will be a good game but that is not what I am here for, I am here to tell you who I believe will win.

The 49ers are the better team, on paper. They have the newly named Offensive Player of the Year, Christian McCaffrey, Debo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle. That is just the skill players. I didn't mention all their other All-Pros at their respective positions like Trent Williams, Nick Bosa, and Fred Warner. I am not the biggest believer in Brock Purdy but he gets the job done, manages the game well, and does not lose games for them, which is important. They started very slow in the games against the Packers and the Lions, which is very concerning to me, especially when you have to play the defending champions and Patrick Mahomes. They have a chance to win this and get their revenge on Kansas City in what should be a close game.

The defending champions are back again in their fourth Super Bowl in five years. They are vying for their third Super Bowl in four tries, which would cement them as a dynasty and Patrick Mahomes as a top-five quarterback all-time. They don't have the better team on paper, but they have more experience and the better quarterback. The Chiefs have a good team though, they have the usual connection of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, L'Jarius Sneed, Chris Jones, and Trent McDuffie. Their defense has been their strong suit all year as the offense has been sputtering all year, even in the AFC Championship Game where they scored 0 points in the entire second half, the defense held its own and got them to the Super Bowl. I believe the defense will hold its own in this game and the offense will do enough to keep it close.

Now that I have given my analysis of both teams, it is time to give my prediction on who I think will win. Even though I believe that San Francisco has a better team than the Chiefs, I see myself siding with the experience and the better quarterback which as I said is the Chiefs. I believe Kansas City's defense will be able to keep Brock Purdy in check, as I see he gets rattled once he is pressured or in a high-pressure situation. That is what the Chiefs will do in this game and there is no game bigger than this one. The Chiefs have been there and won it (twice!) and I believe they win a third Super Bowl in a tight battle.
